The VELO Sports Center is a world class velodrome that is currently the only one of its kind in the United States. Formerly known as the ADT Event Center or LA Velodrome, since its opening in 2004 it has hosted the 2004 UCI Junior World Championship, 2005 UCI Track Cycling World Championships, 2006-2008 UCI Track Cycling World Cups, and 2012 Para-Cycling World Championship. The Official Olympic and Paralympic Training Site is home for USA Cycling’s national track cycling program, Canadian Cycling Association’s national track cycling program, as well as for cyclists of all ages and ability levels year-round.The VELO Sports Center is located in Southern California on the campus of the StubHub Center (formerly the Home Depot Center), which is also home of the Los Angeles Galaxy of MLS, USSF, and USTA. StubHub Center is in Carson, California, a suburb of Los Angeles, on the California State University, Dominguez Hills Campus. The facility is owned and operated by Anschutz Entertainment Group.About the VelodromeThe current indoor velodrome was built in 2004. The $15 million, multi-use facility was designed by Rossetti Architects with structural engineer John A Martin & Associates. It is a track at 250m per lap that is 7m wide, and has 45 degree banks. It is made of approximately 33mi of Siberian pine, and seats approximately 2,500 spectators. The VELO Sports Center is always kept at 72 degrees, and 50% humidity.
The goal of TLC is to help members excel at their fitness goals while having fun, working out, and learning more about their health. Each individual has unique needs that will be assessed by the trainer and workouts will be designed to accommodate everyone's ability level and expectations.
