My name is Natalie Mayhew and I am the creative director & founder of Fern & Maple. I love to craft, to DIY and to create parties for both adults and children – or as I like to put it, “for bigs and littles alike.” I was born in Wellington, New Zealand, and although I have ventured far from my Kiwi roots, I remain inspired by childhood memories of "acting" as an event stylist for my mom’s get-togethers and hours spent rummaging through antique sales and up-cycling found objects with my dad. I love to create a world of make-believe for guests to get lost in. I style events for corporates, adults and children, including creating all of the standard and custom children’s theme parties for Peek-a-boo Factory in San Francisco. Although I style events local to the Bay Area I have travelled for events and create unique hand curated & crafted Party décor boxes that can be shipped directly to you. You'll also find some of my favorite party and room décor products on my website. My blog also includes party ideas, tips, tricks and crafts I enjoy trying out and hope you will too. Via "The Renterie" you can also hire any of the props you see in my parties, these pair well with décor packs allowing you to create one of my events wherever you are located. I live in San Francisco with my (ever tolerant of my hoarding!) husband, David, my two gorgeous and crazy children, Harrison and Parker, and our chocolate lab, Elsa.
