The International PPB Registry provides information For Families and For Physicians/Caregivers on the rare childhood chest tumor known as “pleuropulmonary blastoma” or “PPB”. This tumor has occurred for years, but because of its rarity, it has come under concerted medical scrutiny only since the mid-1980’s. With the cooperation of families and physicians all over the world, we have been collecting cases of PPB for 25+ years. Through this accumulation of information, we have begun to understand some of the biological and treatment issues of this disease and have published several articles. We continue to collect cases and we ask for help in this regard from all families and all caregivers.

We are here for anyone who has an emotional or interpersonal problem and needs help - no fees, no paperwork, no appointments needed. Approximately one-half of the people who come to Walk-In need only one visit to access other appropriate services or specialized helping professionals. Other people need several counseling sessions to address complex emotional or interpersonal concerns. Most people who come here cannot afford to spend money on counseling. Others have money and insurance, but they cannot wait weeks for an appointment. Some people need complete anonymity – a place where they are not required to give a name and other identifying information.

Minnesota Math Corps is a program that is working to ensure that Minnesota youth are algebra-ready by eighth grade. We do this by training and placing AmeriCorps members in elementary, middle and junior high schools in various Minnesota locations. Our Math Enrichment Tutors work with students 4th through 8th grade who need extra support to succeed in math. Algebra is considered gateway course that opens the door college, and 40% of Minnesota 8th graders, who are expected to learn algebra, are not proficient in math. Math Corps has seen great gains in the students we serve.
