Our studios can accommodate most band sizes and configurations, and we are fully stocked with quality gear from reputable manufacturers all around. Music City is built by and for musicians and our hassle-free, friendly, and knowledgeable staff is always onsite, so you can concentrate on your music!
We are two blocks from Civic Center BART station, and events at 750 Natoma end with plenty of time to catch the last east bay train. Parking here is metered or 1-hour during the day, and impossible at night, so we recommend arriving by public transit or bicycle. If you must drive, unregulated parking within a 5-10 minute walk can be found at: Heron Alley, Gordon Alley (behind Stud bar), 10th & Bryant, Division St. ONGOING EVENTS: We host a few recurring community events including game jams and life drawing. There is never a mandatory cover charge to attend, but attendees are expected to tip the performers $10 to defray the cost of travel. There are no food or drinks sold here, but feel free to bring your own. The room acoustics are live, and ideal for unamplified or softly amplified music, so we focus on musicians who would have trouble performing at noisier venues. Bands with medium-amplification are also welcome, but if your music is best hella loud, we might recommend a club instead. For vocals and electric/electronic instruments, we do maintain a house sound system with 4 inputs (let us know if you need more than 2 vox), reverb, subwoofers, but no monitors. TOURING BANDS: We mostly book shows for musicians that we are already familiar with, but if you don't know us yet feel free to send an inquiry to [email protected]. If we don't think we can arrange a suitable bill for you, we will do our best to direct you to other local bands and venues.
