Come join us at the Ramp resturant, a local's waterfront favorite since 1985. Located in the sunniest area of the city, and in the only working boat yard in San Francisco. Our popular restaurant retains the aura of a well kept secret, a hidden oasis right in the heart of San Francisco!
Why "Chez Maman"? Obviously, because you can never eat better than your mother's cooking. What is warmer than to be with her and eat the food she has just cooked for you? Simple and delicious. My mother always told me "finis ton assiette" because it was proof to her that I loved what she cooked for me. Chez Maman is inspired by this kind of childhood memory. We have tried to recreate that atmosphere with a menu composed of French basics. Tasty items like a hamburger with guacamole or French brie with a good glass of wine - a welcoming and tasty French meal. Chez Maman is a neighborhood restaurant with a bistro concept. We attribute our success to the friendly and casual atmosphere as well as our delicious home cooked meals. The ambiance is French inspired naturally, with the warm colors of the French countryside. What could be more relaxing? Our goal is to satisfy patrons at any time of day or evening from a casual salad or burger for lunch, a mid-afternoon sweet crepe to a three course meal with a great bottle of French wine when you just don't feel like cooking. Of course, if you want to enjoy your Chez Maman meal at home with your feet up, we will gladly make it for you to go. The menu is the same in all of our Chez Maman restaurants. The first one opened on Potrero Hill in 2002. The neighbors all soon became regulars, coming in two or three times a week to share a comfortable meal with their friends and family. We have recently opened a location in Bernal Heights and will soon have one conveniently located on Union Street. We look forward to seeing you at one of our Chez Maman located near you.
We are located in the upper level of the Portrero shopping center, just a mile from the home of AT&T Park, the home of the SF Giants. We also have free and convenient parking right in front of the restaurant or in the nearby two-story parking garage.

Our producers are dedicated to the long term success of the farmers and co-ops where the beans are purchased, assisting with improvements in the environment, farming techniques, and community education. The cacao beans are Rainforest Alliance and Fair Trade certified. We are proud to use Clover Stornetta organic dairy sourced from family farms along the north coast of California. The cows are not treated with antibiotics or the growth hormone rBST and the farms are American Humane Certified. Our butter comes from Sierra Navada Cheese Company. It is vat-cultured in small microbatches with live active cultures. IG @sixthcoursesf
Fair Share CSF is Jessica Lattif and Jalal Elhayek, two seafood lovers, "Good Food" activists, and community-based social entrepreneurs who strive to support sustainable, local food producers in both our personal and professional lives. Fair Share is a small business that offers sustainable, fresh, local fish and seafood at a price that is fair to both consumers and fishermen. We exist to serve those who (like ourselves) are committed to making choices that ensure a healthy local economy and thriving oceans. We accomplish this by sourcing, processing, and delivering sustainably harvested seafood, caught by local, artisan fishermen; seafood that is as fresh as can be, and traceable to the source. We met in Boston as food-obsessed grad students studying agriculture, nutrition & water policy, and first worked together in building an inclusive, down-to-earth chapter of Slow Food at our university. There, we hosted events like skill shares, trivia nights and homemade beer brew-offs. We were lucky enough to enjoy the bounties of some of the first community-supported fisheries in the US, and became enamored of both the concept and practice. When we moved out to the Bay Area after finishing graduate school, we were surprised not to find any comparable community-supported fishery programs out here. Our instincts told us the concept would work for adventurous Bay Area locavores, so we began researching and planning this project. After working in non-profit and contract jobs for a couple of years, we finally took the dive and have launched our own community-supported fishery, Fair Share CSF! Though the journey has just begun, we are excited to join the community that is pioneering alternatives to industrial seafood. We hope you'll join us!
