A NEHEMIAH PROJECT: 2: 17-18 17 Then I said to them, “You see the distress that we are in, how Jerusalem lies waste, and its gates are burned with fire. Come and let us build the wall of Jerusalem, that we may no longer be a reproach.” 18 And I told them of the hand of my God which had been good upon me, and also of the king’s words that he had spoken to me.
Like the Bereans of old we strive to be also a church of the Word!! We are involved in the community. On Mondays and Thursdays we have an Alcoholic Anonymous group. On Tuesdays we have Bible study groups and a food pantry following our noon Bible study. On Wednesdays we have prayer meetings and are seeing God give deliverance in some many areas. On Sabbaths (Saturdays) we take time to celebrate the Genesis Creation and the fact that God want to be quality time with us! Reverend Chaz T. Jaquess, a young African American native of Saint Louis, is Senior Pastor and Founder of the Salt Covenant Baptist Church. He made history by becoming its first Pastor in July 2007. Since its inception, the Church has experienced spiritual, numerical, and financial growth under his dynamic leadership. Pastor Jaquess has been able to execute kingdom building, business, and operations. The Church’s ministries are organized for service under the Church’s Five Cornerstones of Exaltation, Edification, Evangelism, Extension, and Equipping. Since establishing SC, Pastor Jaquess has continued to be concerned about “evangelism” on a national, state, and local level. His ability to teach and preach has carried him across the country for leadership, stewardship, and evangelistic services. Salt Covenant plans to implement the mantle of diversification and expansion by offering a full service worship experience, holistic ministry, spiritual and personal development opportunities, and community involvement/support in the St. Louis area.
These are informal pictures collected over the years from congregants and friends of CRC. It would be nice to identify the people in the pictures and we are hoping you will tag yourselves whenever you can.
This is The United Holy Church of America! The Central Western District was organized in 1930. The organizers were Bishop J.W. Houston, Elder Otis E. Evans, Mother Addie Houston, and Mother Susie Evans. We love the Lord and want to serve Him. Join us in lifting up JESUS!
In a city known for its division... What if North and South city residents stopped saying “they” and started saying “we”? What could this city look like if we joined together to authentically follow Jesus and serve our city? We invite you to be a part of a new multicultural, multigenerational church that wants to change St Louis’ reputation as a “sad” and “dangerous” city. MiddleTree is a play on two themes... 1) They hanged Jesus on a tree. "Here they crucified him, and with him two others--one on each side and Jesus in the Middle." Jn 19:18 2) St Louis is a divided city. The "vision" is to bridge the "division". What would communicate the love of God louder to a racially, socio-economically divided city than a church that truly unites the community that surrounds it? MiddleTree is a display of life among the division. We want to see lives changed through increasing devotion to Jesus.

Westminster Presbyterian Church seeks to know Christ and to make Christ known. We are a diverse congregation, crossing cultural, racial, age, and class boundaries. We support each other in our journey of faith with joyful worship, engaging education and caring fellowship. We strive to partner with our neighbors in this urban community through ministries of justice and compassion.
We are the Society of Jesus, a Roman Catholic order of priests and brothers founded half a millennium ago by the courtier-turned-mystic Ignatius Loyola. With close to 18,000 priests and brothers worldwide, we are the largest male religious order in the Catholic Church. We are pastors, teachers, and chaplains. We are also doctors, lawyers, and astronomers, among many other roles in Church and society. We refer to ourselves as the Jesuits of the USA Central and Southern Province, one group within the Society of Jesus in the United States and one part of the worldwide body of Jesuits. Jesuits draw on the rich tradition of Ignatian spirituality and reflection. In our retreat houses, parishes, campus ministries, and other settings, we offer these resources to all who want to discern God’s presence in their lives. At the same time, we also aim to be “contemplatives in action,” people who bring this spirituality into the wide world. That includes our work on behalf of global justice, peace, and dialogue. In our varied ministries, we care for the whole person: body, mind, and soul. And especially in our education ministries, we seek to nurture "men and women for others."
Pilgrim Church belongs to the United Church of Christ denomination, and has made a commitment over the years to be an “open door” church–welcoming people of all backgrounds, races, and views. Today, we are a proudly diverse congregation of people who are at various points in life’s journey.
We thank you for visiting our page and hope you consider becoming a Young Friend of the Cathedral. As little as $5 does the trick, and truly every cent is used to maintain our beautiful Cathedral. While many assume its preservation is under the care of the Archdiocese, these treasured works of art are actually not a part of the parish’s budget. It is up to the Friends of the Cathedral Board as well as the Young Friends to ensure their protection. The hours of work and amount of money needed to maintain this building and its art is overwhelming. We rely on the generosity of those around us, as the parish’s first duty is to take care of the people it houses. People from all walks of life are invited to join our group. While we sponsor Catholic activities and events, we would love everyone living in or visiting our city to come down and witness the monumental beauty sitting in the heart of the Central West End. It can be cherished by Catholics and non-Catholics alike as it is open to and welcomes all visitors daily. Thank you again for your interest, feel free to contact us with any questions you may have!

The Daughters of Charity are a worldwide Society of Apostolic Life called to serve Jesus Christ in the person of the poor and the marginalized. Motivated by the love of Christ and strengthened by a deep prayer life, we live and pray in community, supporting each other in our common mission of service. Like women in other communities, we make vows of poverty, chastity and obedience. What distinguishes us, however, is a fourth vow of service of the poor. Another distinction is that Daughters of Charity do not make perpetual vows, but renew them every year on the Feast of the Annunciation, which permits us to choose again our commitment to our God and to the poor.
