A former luggage transfer station for the adjacent Reading Railroad, the space has been renovated into a beautiful and unique event hall. Sky-high ceilings, dramatic chandeliers, stained glass throughout the building coupled with a state of the art sound and lighting system. With a large lobby, four bars and a mezzanine with tiered seating and a balcony we host events from 200 to 1200 people. Centrally located in Center City, we are one of the few facilities to feature a parking lot (actually, we have two of them!). Only a 10 minute walk from several different public transportation stops and just a few blocks from I-95/676 entrance/exit ramps. Getting to Union Transfer could not be easier. Within eighteen months of opening we were featured in Rolling Stone Magazine’s "Top 20 Venues in America" and named by the BBC as "one of the hottest venues on the US east coast". You can purchase tickets online by clicking the TICKETS icon on any show page on our site and will be taken to the Ticketfly site. Purchase over the phone by calling Ticketfly at 877-4-FLY-TIX. You can also purchase tickets for shows at Union Transfer w/ NO SERVICE FEE at our box office (1026 Spring Garden Street). The box office is open every Friday and Saturday from Noon to 6pm AND every evening we have a show from 5pm to close . We accept both cash and credit (no fee for either). If tickets do not sell out in advance, they will be sold at the door on the night of the show. If you’re unsure, please call the Union Transfer to inquire. In addition to our box office, tickets are also available six days a week with NO SERVICE FEES at Philadelphia’s finest independent record store Long In The Tooth (2027 Sansom Street). Open from 12pm-7pm Tuesday through Thursday, 12-9pm Friday & Saturday and 12pm-6pm on Sunday. Tickets purchased at LITT are CASH ONLY. If a show is cancelled, refunds are available at point of purchase. You will be refunded automatically if you purchases a ticket through Ticketfly. Please note openers are always subject to change.

Union Transfer is an independently owned and operated music venue in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; a joint venture between R5 Productions, and The Bowery Presents (Terminal 5, Bowery Ballroom). The venue opened to the public September 21, 2011 with the first ever show by Clap Your Hands Say Yeah and Poliça.The building originally opened in 1889 as the Spring Garden Farmer’s Market and has seen various incarnations over the years. Located at 1026 Spring Garden Street, Union Transfer lies within the Callowhill neighborhood, which borders Poplar, Chinatown and North Broad Street. The building was originally the Spring Garden Farmers Market from 1889 to 1918 and currently retains the signage that's carved into the building. From 1918 to 1942 the building was changed to the Union Transfer Baggage Express Co., where bags and other items were kept in storage for the railway company. The German embassy in Philadelphia even utilized the services of Union Transfer Baggage Co. prior to World War II. Facing several more transformations over the next 50 years including a tire shop, trust company, and a Spaghetti Warehouse, Union Transfer became a music venue in 2011.A variety of shows are hosted at Union Transfer, primarily of the Indie Rock persuasion, as well as Folk, Electronic Dance Music, Hip Hop and Punk. In the past the Union Transfer has hosted bands such as Mischief Brew, M83, Diplo, Frank Ocean, The Murder City Devils, Cold War Kids, The Tallest Man on Earth, Best Coast, and Cock Sparrer. The Boom Room is a private recording studio, a multimedia production house, a fully equipped band rehearsal room, and an indoor/outdoor private event space owned and operated by drummer and multimedia producer Gary Dann. It is located in heart of the artistically burgeoning and culturally diverse Fishtown section of Philadelphia, PA. This studio regularly hosts a variety of community education workshops, music production classes, a weekly open improvised songwriting workshop, album listening events, art gallery shows, and is working with local families to develop a neighborhood youth music mentoring program. We are located right in the heart of Fishtown/Kensington only one block from the Girard Street El stop on the Market-Frankford Blue Line and minutes from the Girard exit of Interstate 95.
