Immunophotonics
Distance: 0.1 mi Competitive Analysis
4320 Forest Park Ave
St. Louis, MO 63110

Immunophotonics has developed an in situ therapeutic cancer vaccine (inCVAX) for the treatment of solid tumor cancers. inCVAX is an in vivo immunotherapy that activates a multitude of the immune system’s cells to ultimately induce a systemic antitumor response throughout the body, essentially reprogramming the body’s immune system to teach it what cancer looks like and to actively seek and destroy cancerous tumors. inCVAX achieves this by (1) local treatment of any one tumor with a laser to liberate tumor antigens, and (2) local injection of the proprietary nontoxic immunoadjuvant to activate antigen-presenting cells (APCs), which serves to induce the tumor-specific T-cell response in the body. inCVAX is unique in immunotherapies such that this cancer vaccine whole tumor cells as the sources of tumor antigens from each individual patient without ex vivo preparation or pre-selection of tumor antigens. First-in-man trials have yielded promising results with tumor shrinkage of both treated local tumors and distant metastases, which in some cases, led to a complete resolution of all tumors. inCVAX is quick and easy to administer, is well tolerated, and allows the patient to resume daily activities shortly after treatment.
