Born to Run Reiki

Hello! I am excited to share with you how a Reiki session can positively impact your life. It is easy to set up an appointment and in advance of our call, please complete this 2 minute intake form. What is Reiki – • Rei is a Japanese word translated as ‘higher power’ (or ‘God’) and Ki is the Japanese term for “life force energy” (known in Chinese medicine as ‘chi’, and Hindu religion as ‘prana’). • A gentle and subtle transmission of energy by the practitioner using their ‘attunement’ to Reiki to channel the essential life force of the universe for healing potential. • Reiki is a hands on energy-healing art originating in Japanese Buddhism in the early 20th Century. It is an ancient healing modality that was “re-discovered” By Mikio Usui; there is evidence that it originate in India thousands of years before Mr. Usui’s discovery, and some believe this is the way that Jesus Christ was able to heal. • I am very experienced in my own life-long healing process and I have a deep empathy for my clients and the emotional distress that can come with healing trauma, pain and anxiety; this informs my entire practice, which is focused on aiding you in your healing process. What to expect – • A session with me is an energy–system balancing; a massage for your soul and psyche. • Relaxing ambient music, incense and a space clearing set the tone for our session. • You will lay on a massage table (or a comfortable spot of your choice) face-up and receive energy for an hour. • Starting at the crown of your head and moving down the 7 chakras in your body, I will be channeling pure healing energy, displacing the normal imbalances of the human energy system. As I work intuitively, I often end up working in other areas of the body as my guides suggest. • Every body responds to Reiki in a unique way, according to their own energy system. Some people do not feel much during a session, others feel the effects in the days and weeks after a session and then some extremely sensitive types have visions, intuitive downloads or other phenomenon. Every system receives the energy and begins a healing cycle that is unique to you and your needs. • Everyone I have worked with experiences deep relaxation, relief from difficult symptoms, and a sense of space in their perceptions/experience. People with sleep issues tend to respond very well to Reiki. How to prepare – • Having a clear sense of what you want to work on is most beneficial when you are experiencing a difficult passage in life. The more information I have, the more I can help you. Nothing is off limits, or TMI (too much information), our session is completely confidential. • My primary focus is to create a safe space for you to relax and feel loved and taken care of. This is at the core of Reiki; the healing potential of human touch and authentic love (empathy) empowered, magnified and transmitted by the Reiki attunement and the development of the practitioner. • Please arrive with 2 lists on two separate small pieces of paper; In 3-5 words “What I want to let go of”, and “How I want to feel” What to do after your session – • Stay well hydrated in the 48 hours after your session. • Most people feel relaxed and invigorated and report more satisfying sleep in the days after our session. An apt metaphor is a glass of water with debris in it; this is the human system in its normal state of imbalance. Reiki is like pouring pure water into that glass and displacing the dirty water (until the debris spills out of the glass and all we have is a glass of pure water). • In the process of displacing the imbalanced energy in your body, you might experience the exact symptoms we are working to relieve; “the only way out is through” is another useful phrase. We cannot avoid or by-pass the difficulty of healing, but Reiki can help smooth the process. • Any discomfort or ‘intensity’ that arises in those 48 hours is to be thought of as “This is part of my healing. I have to experience this and sit with it in order to release it.” In other words; do not try to by-pass this experience with drugs or distractions, honor it. Rates - $150 per session in your home, includes a 15 minute orientation call a few days in advance of your session; a 90 minute in person session; and 15 minute follow-up call the day after your session. Remote sessions are $125, and include the pre and post telephone conversations. Payment - Via PayPal [email protected] in advance of our scheduled session. Cancellation Policy - Please cancel within 48 hours of your appointment, or please pay 100% of the total fee. Referral Program - I am taking new clients. If you have friends who would benefit from the healing qualities of Reiki, I welcome introductions. If your referrals book a session, please enjoy a $20 discount on your next visit.

I am an experienced, licensed massage therapist who mastered a wide range of massage techniques through various schools and helped hundreds of clients suffering from acute injuries, aches and pains, emotional distress, anxiety and depression. They range from subtle energy work (like EFT, Polarity Therapy or Reiki) to Sport and Advanced deep tissue methods, Bowen therapy (a unique Australian technique) and various forms of rehabilitation and orthopedic massage; from dynamic mobilizations to gentle holds. Flexibility in applying this knowledge is paramount since their appropriateness must be determined by the client's particular needs. Every treatment is unique providing a creative opportunity for me to adapt to the given situation. I provide massage therapy that soothes muscles, relieves muscular tension, heals soreness, and eliminate stress - leaving clients pain-free, impressed and looking forward to the next session.
