The Elbo Room prides itself on presenting diverse live shows seven nights and week. At Dive Bar we feature a variety of seafood and traditional plates served in a casual, inviting, and intimate atmosphere in the center of Lakeview, Chicago. We have a fully stocked bar and beer section along with wine, frozen drinks, mojito & rum runner pitchers, dry ice shooters, and specialty tropical cocktails. In the heart of Boystown and steps from Wrigleyville, Dive Bar is oasis before or after a Cubs game, night on the town, or in accompaniment to Lakeview’s growing network of small theaters and comedy clubs. We take reservations 7 days a week. Oysters, calamari, and our famous “boom boom” shrimp can be found in our appetizer section, followed by po’boys, entrées, seafood boils, and a burger that will satisfy the hungriest of deck hands. We steam and fry our 24 hour brined fried chicken to perfection, but if you prefer something light, try our Kale or Caesar salad with your favorite protein. The front of Dive Bar is a rustic setting with reclaimed barn wood and high top seating. Deeper in, you will find our open air kitchen complete with shipping containers that double as restrooms. A private dining room completes the rear section (The Captain's Room) for special occasions and parties. The indoor space holds 40 people, and expands to an outdoor garden patio for the warmer months. The back patio is casual and hidden away from busy Halsted Street. The Dark Horse is the home of the Pittsburgh Steelers and draws throngs of Pennsylvania ex-pats to support the Black and Gold during football season.
