For over a decade, Modesto Tapas Bar and Restaurant has become the choice Spanish restaurant in St. Louis. Set on the Hill, Modesto's intimate and lively setting makes it one of St. Louis' most popular destinations for small groups as well as intimate dinners for two. From our extensive Spanish wine list to our olive oils and cheeses, everything we serve is crafted to allow you to experience the genuine taste of Spain. Our menu boasts traditional Spanish dishes like Tortilla Española and Paella Mixta as well as more contemporary fare like our Tocino con Salsa de Sarsamora, braised pork belly with blackberry sauce, and our Langosta Frita, a fried lobster tail served with chimichurri. At Modesto, it is our absolute goal to deliver the experience of the true social essence of tapas: to eat, drink and share with your friends and family.
Patrick Connolly of County Galway, Ireland, began his barkeep career in 1942 when he opened the Pat Connolly Tavern, and for two decades he worked to create a St. Louis landmark. Although the tavern has changed names and owners over the years, it has now returned to the Connolly family and the original name. We are proud to continue the tradition that Pat started over 70 years ago, offering classic pub fare and fine spirits in a family-friendly atmosphere. We also strive to be active in our community and welcoming to all who walk through our door. We invite you to have your next meal, pint, or event with us!

Dating back to the 1930's, the building that is Boundary at The Cheshire has served as a gathering place for people wanting to share a good time over a great meal. It is in that spirit that the historic building has been restored and reinvented. After closing for nearly two years and undergoing a massive, multi-million dollar renovation, the iconic building reopens as home to four unique dining experiences.
