HABC is here for you, our community. We offer our services to those truly in need and we provide comfort and affordability to our local families, couples, and retirees. Housing Authority of Bexar County (HABC) was created on September 3, 1975 by the Bexar County Commissioners Court. A Board of Commissioners was appointed for HABC to oversee policies and procedures administered by the Executive Director. Our primary objective is to provide rental assistance to low and very low income families and to provide improved living conditions in Bexar County. At HABC we understand how frustrating it can be to find a home, in the right neighborhood, for the right price, with the right amenities. All you want is a safe, comfortable home that you can relax in at the end of your day. A place for the children to play, grow up in and make friends. A place to retire at. We understand all of these things, and know how important finding the right home is to you. We want to make this affordable. We want to give you options. We want to find you the right home right now. So review our communities and apply today!
