Twin Cities School of Theology Reviews

514 N 3rd St, # 200
Minneapolis, MN 55401

(612) 239-1633

A school in the heart of Minneapolis determined to open up the study of theology to a new generation. Theology belongs in real life – so we’re putting it there. In the heart of the city, where people live and work and play. Committed to city professionals and theologians alike. We’re accredited at the highest academic graduate school level, we’re invitational and diverse, and we’re based in a cool urban warehouse, coffee shop included. A minute’s walk from the light railway in the Warehouse District. Same building as Corner Coffee - across the hallway.

The Hennepin Center for the Arts was built in 1888 as a Masonic Temple. The structure was built by Long and Kees in the Richardsonian Romanesque architectural style. In 1978, it was purchased and underwent a renovation to become the HCA. It is located at 528 Hennepin Avenue in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Currently, it is owned by Artspace and is home to more than 17 performing and visual art companies who reside on the building's eight floors. The eighth floor is the Illusion Theater, which hosts many shows put on by companies in the building.HCA is now a part of the Cowles Center for Dance and the Performing Arts . The new performing arts center is a three-building complex that includes the renovated Shubert Theatre building and a new glass-walled atrium connecting the two historic buildings and serving them both as a common lobby. The Cowles Center hosted a three-day Grand Opening Gala September 9–11, 2011.

ServeMinnesota is the state's designated recipient of funding for the AmeriCorps program, often referred to as "the domestic Peace Corps". We administer a portfolio of 12 AmeriCorps programs with more than 1,200 AmeriCorps members addressing a variety of critical human needs spanning educational achievement, economic opportunity and environmental protection. More than 650 sites across the state are hosting an AmeriCorps member this year. These sites include schools, local nonprofits and community organizations. ServeMinnesota's primary strategic goal is to invest its AmeriCorps resources in a manner that achieves the greatest impact on solving critical issues for the state — thereby serving as a catalyst for positive social change in Minnesota. We align the power of AmeriCorps with successful approaches that provide cost-effective solutions and yield measurable results. By applying evidence-based practices, bringing scale to what works and demonstrating positive outcomes, we have a formula for increased impact. Our education initiatives combine the power of AmeriCorps with proven learning methods to help thousands of children achieve grade level proficiency in reading and math — two critical indicators for future success. Without AmeriCorps resources, thousands of children would not receive the critical interventions they need to succeed in school and life.
