The San Antonio Metropolitan Area Command provides the leadership, planning, coordination, and administration of all The Salvation Army's programs and services in Bexar and Comal Counties. The Integrated Continuum of Care is unique to Boys Town and provides a tightly linked spectrum of research-proven services based on the Boys Town ModelSM of care. Children and families can begin services at any point and move between levels, all within the same treatment model. This unique approach enables us to help more children and families in more ways, with the same expectations for positive results. For children, this means being successful in school, at home and on the job while growing into productive citizens. For families, it means having a safe home, being able to solve problems and staying together. Texas has 3 Programs in the Continuum of Care. They are: Boys Town Foster Family Services professionally trains Foster Parents who open their own homes to children of all ages to provide safe, effective care and treatment. Foster Parents receive 24-hour support from Boys Town. Common Sense Parenting® provides parents and other caregivers with proven techniques that can help them build good family relationships, prevent and correct misbehavior and improve positive behavior. These informative classes are usually presented in the community and at schools. (www.parenting.org/common-sense-parenting) Boys Town Outpatient Behavioral Health works with children and their families to identify and treat issues such as depression, anxiety, school problems and ADHD. The clinic offers specialized services, including behavioral and psychological assessments, as well as individualized treatment and counseling. Clinic staff coordinates care with a child’s primary care physician, teachers and other professionals to provide an inclusive approach to ensure long-term success. Clinics are part of the Boys Town Center for Behavioral HealthSM. Boys Town Texas also offers these following services: The Boys Town National Hotline (800.448.3000) is a free resource and counseling service that assists youth and parents 24/7, year-round, nationwide. The Hotline receives about 150,000 calls a year. (www.boystown.org/national-hotline) Parenting.org is a free online resource that provides practical, skill-based materials and information for parents and caregivers of children of all ages. (www.parenting.org) The Boys Town Press produces books, audio products, DVDs, display materials and other resources to assist children, parents, caregivers, educators and other professionals. www.yourlifeyourvoice.org is a special website that enables and encourages teens to share their problems, concerns and challenges in positive, creative ways and provides access to immediate help in a crisis.
Pride Center San Antonio is a grassroots community effort to create a meeting and event center for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and allied community in San Antonio. Please "Like" us and contact us to let us know if you are interested in helping us out. With the community's help, we will create a productive, sustainable LGBT Community Center for all San Antonians! We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, and currently operate a resource center as of May 1, 2014. As a grassroots effort we recognize the resource center is a start and with the communities support we envision growing into a full events and community center.
The American GI Forum National Veterans Outreach Program, Inc. (NVOP) was founded and developed as a separate corporation in 1972 by the American GI Forum of the U.S., the nation’s largest Hispanic veterans’ organization chartered by the U.S. Congress. The objective was to create a new entity that would provide “hands on” services to veterans at the community level. The NVOP is a duly chartered non-profit corporation qualified by the Internal Revenue Service as a charitable organization under section 501(c)3 of the IRS code. The NVOP, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, is recognized nationally as a premier community-based service provider specializing in services for veterans with special needs. The NVOP is an organization with diversified service components administered by the prime organization (the NVOP) and six sub-corporations that operate services that include employment and training for veterans, affordable housing for the elderly, homeless veterans services, economic development projects that include the Veterans Enterprises of Texas (VETS) box manufacturing company, and the American GI Forum Weatherization company. As a charitable organization the NVOP and all sub-corporations are non-profit entities overseen by a Board of Directors composed of community volunteers and elected officers of the American GI Forum membership organization. In the past 35 years the American GI Forum has established a glittering reputation of administrative professionalism and accountability, and a sterling reputation for innovation in developing services meeting the contemporary needs of the veterans of today. In 35 years the NVOP has never been cited for any disallowed expenses on its annual independent audits, and it has received such accolades as the Regional Award for Cost Effectiveness from the U.S. Department of Labor, selected as a national Best Practice model by the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans, and awarded the U.S. Department of HUD Blue Ribbon award for innovation in economic development when it created the Veterans Enterprises of Texas (VETS) box manufacturing company that created jobs for disabled individuals.
AARC utilizes the Johns Hopkins model of HIV Care, an integrated approach to treatment has proven effective due to the complexity of the patient population which is especially vulnerable to drop out from either social services care, medical treatment or both. To this end a “single point of care” model was developed to maintain treatment engagement. The AARC wrap-around care model includes medical providers, psychiatrists, social workers, mental health counselors, housing specialists, and supportive services on-site.

As an extension of the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts, the GLS offers exciting, relevant programming, exclusive opportunities to interact with San Antonio’s professional artists and companies, and the opportunity to forge meaningful relationships with the next generation of leaders in San Antonio.
On Saturday, October 10, 2015, Artpace will present its 12th Annual Chalk It Up arts festival. Thanks to Presenting Sponsor Argo Group and our generous supporters, this annual celebration of contemporary art empowers the San Antonio community by providing free access to creative activities designed to engage and embolden young audiences. In 2013, more than 22,500 people gathered to express their creativity among family, friends, and neighbors along four blocks of downtown’s Houston Street. Using the temporary and accessible medium of chalk, Artpace transports its mission to serve as a creative laboratory into the public sphere by providing barrier-free, direct engagement with the arts for all San Antonians. In fact, for many of the attendees, Chalk It Up is a hands-on introduction to art and art making. At its core, Chalk It Up plays a pivotal role in ensuring students continue to experience and explore the possibilities of art. Through participation in the festival’s street gallery and adjacent creation stations, children—who comprise an overwhelming majority of the audience—gain an invaluable opportunity to practice teamwork and sharpen critical thinking skills, proven outcomes of access to art education. Taking place on Saturday, October 11, 2014, from 10am to 4pm, Chalk It Up is entirely funded by Artpace’s generous partners who enjoy opportunities for community-wide brand exposure in exchange for event underwriting.

FFR we take every international talented individual enrolled in our program in a journey following a critical path to achieve his/her goals in terms of immigrating and investing in the United States. For that, our experts have develop a comprehensive method call International Strategic Planning© which has a main goals to minimize errors, deviations, omissions, financial losses, tax complications, legal conflicts, immigration rejection, and frustrations during the process of building Master Strategic Plans (“MSP”). A MSP is a tailored strategic plan that includes financial tax, legal and immigration planning which becomes the main tool for the international individual to immigrate and invest properly in the United States. In addition to the development and implementation on the MSP, thanks to our network we make these individuals have access to the right money (grants, loans, direct investment, etc), Knowledge (Experts) and sweat (Interns, volunteers, part-time or full-time qualified staff, etc) to develop their ideas with higher probability of success.

Our mission is to connect the private and public sectors through education, innovative marketing, community events, and creative financing programs. We provide direct assistance to homeowners and businesses ready to “go solar” on a daily basis. We actively encourage the widespread use of solar and other renewable, sustainable energy sources by informing the community about how it benefits the regional economy, environment and human health. We also raise public awareness about supporting public policies that advance solar power and renewable energy. By providing leadership in renewable energy, we are able to offer information and networking opportunities to the public, public officials, and to the business community. We connect solar energy suppliers and consumers, organize workshops, and act with local, state, and federal organizations to support clean energy options. SSA’s largest program assisting the public to go solar is the “Bring Solar Home” Campaign. The campaign uses public outreach to connect potential solar adopters with the solar industry. The program works with the City of San Antonio, local lending institutions, and the local municipally-owned utility CPS Energy to provide the public with information, incentives, and financing options that make it simple and affordable to go solar. In addition, the education work done by SSA over its thirteen years of operation built the public support that facilitated the process of CPS Energy installing 46 megawatts of centralized solar and signing a contract for 400 additional megawatts of solar. In honor of SSA founder William Sinkin, CPS Energy dedicated one of its newest solar projects in his namesake. The 19.8 megawatt project, dubbed William R. Sinkin Centennial Solar Farms 1 and 2, will produce enough clean power for an estimated 2,550 average Texas homes annually.
