Douglas Road is a station of the Metrorail rapid transit system just southwest of Coconut Grove, in Miami, Florida. It is the southernmost Metrorail station in Miami city limits, although it has a Coral Gables address. The station is located at the intersection of Douglas Road (West 37th Avenue) and South Dixie Highway (US 1), three blocks south Bird Road (SW 40th Street). Rosario Salazar's design skills were nurtured at the Piloto University in Bogotá , Colombia , where she received a bachelor's degree in architecture prior to coming to the U.S. After several years as an architect specializing in renovations and historic preservation, she was retained by a leading interior design firm to oversee mayor residential and commercial projects, resulting in several statewide honors. She established her own multi-faceted Miami based design firm in 1995, and since then she has been designing non-stop for the South Florida elite. Rosario is the recipient of many Design Awards, such as the ASID< IDG< as well as the “Orchid Award”, which is given to Colombian citizens that have excelled in and outside Colombia for her work as an Architect and Interior Designer. In 2000, I became a certified general contractor and continued to work part time in project development and management. Being a certified general contractor and involved the construction industry for many years, I know a great home and location when I see one. My husband and I have 3 children. As a family, we enjoy sailing and kayaking Biscayne Bay, skiing, traveling, and spending time outdoors. Raising a family here, along with a background in the construction industry, gives me the knowledge that will assist others in all aspects of a real estate transaction.
