Rogue Music was born in 1983. It began as an attempt to sell a Prophet 5 by keyboardist Dick Michaels of the New York City band Rogue. The keyboard was difficult to sell for cash, but easy to trade for a tape deck, guitar, and bass. Well, the bass came in handy, but not the guitar and tape deck. Once again a trade was made and so on and so on until today, we believe we sell more used gear than any single store in the world. As our business grew trends have come and gone. First it was guitars, then it was keyboards, then analog synths, then vintage studio gear, now it's guitars again. While the emphasis has been on used gear, along the way we have picked up many new lines. For items we don't stock we can usually get you a good price though one of our partner stores. In order to ensure that our used gear is in tip-top shape, we have a fully authorized service department that checks out everything we buy and makes all necessary repairs. Our repair department is staffed by expert technicians and is authorized by Akai, Roland, Korg, Yamaha and others.

Nelson & Steve Nelson Flores: As producer and director of Latin Madness, Nelson was instrumental in the development of this creative project. It is no surprise that one of the concepts of Latin Madness was born out of Nelson's love of comedy and Latin dance. Prior to embarking into the world of Latin dance Nelson was involved in the production of comedy shows. As a member of Laff-A-Lot Productions Nelson worked with New York's top stand-up comedians. Once he was bitten by the "Mambo Bug" Nelson began taking dance lessons with the masters of New York Mambo. He quickly moved on to become a dancer in several dance companies: Fuerza Latina, Mario Diaz Dance Revue and the Santo Rico Dance Company. Today in addition to being one of the "Masters of New York Mambo" himself, Nelson is the director of his own dance group, the Descarga Latina Dance Company. Nelson's dancing and choreography skills have taken him to Japan, Turkey, Italy, Belgium, Amsterdam, England, Peru, Germany, Canada, and throughout the United States. He has performed with Tito Puente, Tito Nieves, Celia Cruz, Fania All-Stars, India, El Gran Combo, Jose Alberto "El Canario" and various other artists. But it was his desire to combine the lightheartedness of comedy and the intensity of Mambo that gave birth to Latin Madness.
Stepping Out Studios is a dance studio specializing in all forms of partner dance. We have been in business since 1985, and were voted "Top 2 in the country and #1 in the East." We teach all levels, all styles of partner dance (Latin, Ballroom, Tango, Swing, Country Western, etc.), 7 days a week. We offer introductory lessons, private lessons, group classes, wedding packages, practice sessions, and weekly parties.
