The Broadway Performing Arts Studio is owned and operated by national award winning directors and educators, Relana Gerami-Luss and Benjamin Luss formerly of BATAVA from Texas. Our philosophy is to prepare our students for a career in the performing arts using a technique-based curriculum incorporating voice, drama and dance. This integrated curriculum allows for a student to excel in the discipline in which they are naturally gifted, while strengthening the other aspects that make for a complete professional artist. We believe that a classical foundation is the key to success in the performing arts, regardless of the genre of study or age, and with this solid foundation the student can achieve whatever they set out to accomplish.

State of the Art Technology for Live Audio/Video Recording: A seamless live recording system built in to each studio allows you to control and preview your songs during rehearsal. After your session, recordings can be downloaded via a web link to your personal computer to review and share on your social networks. 3. Band program, membership and community: Kids and teens can join our after school band coaching program which offers an individualized approach with a low student-teacher ration. Membership in our band coaching program includes jam sessions and performance opportunities. Teens and adults can become rehearsal members to receive discount on our hourly rates, play in jams and connect with fellow musician by age and ability.

Christina has also been a featured vocalist for a private NBC Event at 30 Rock (NYC), sung on cruise ships, headlined her own cabaret: "The More You Ruv Someone”, shared the stage with many celebrities, was in a PBS Special featuring Jackie Evancho and David Foster, and has recorded learning tracks for Central Florida Community Arts. Christina’s passion for Musical Theater has been seen in such roles as “Kim” in two different productions of Miss Saigon, “Christmas Eve” (Avenue Q), and “Trix the Aviatrix” (The Drowsy Chaperone). She has won awards for her portrayal of “Kim” in Miss Saigon, and “Trix the Aviatrix” in The Drowsy Chaperone. Along with her passion for performing, Christina has been teaching Voice and Piano for over 12 plus years. She brings a spark and excitement to her teaching that she uses to inspire her students of all ages. Her students have received high ratings and awards in competitions, landed lead roles in productions, and earned college scholarships. Christina lives and shares with her students the mindset that talent will only get you so far; it takes hard work, time, dedication, discipline, and a constant hunger to learn to achieve your dreams!

Chris York is a New York City based voice teacher with almost ten years of experience teaching professional and amateur singers of all ages. While maintaining a full private studio in midtown Manhattan, Chris is also an adjunct faculty member at Pace University (BFA program), teaches vocal technique for the college prep company MTCA, and for the last 8 years, has been on staff at the Studio, a School for the Performing Arts in New Canaan, CT. Chris received a bachelors of science degree in Music Education at Ball State University, did a year-long performing fellowship at the Fulton Theatre, and extensively studied vocology (the science of the voice) under Tom Burke, Robert Sussuma, Joan Lader, Joan Melton, and others. This spring, Chris will be completing his certification as a Certified Master Teacher in the Estill Voice Method. He also studied acting at the Jen Waldman Studio. His students have been seen and can be seen on Broadway (Matilda, Phantom of the Opera, The Lion King, Mary Poppins, Elf, The Addams Family, Billy Elliot, South Pacific, West Side Story), TV/Film (NBC's The Sound of Music, So You Think You Can Dance?, Boardwalk Empire, Mr. Popper's Penguins, Law and Order SVU, etc), National Tours and Cruise Ships (Rock of Ages, Catch Me If You Can, Mamma Mia, The Producers, Flashdance), and Off-Broadway/regionally (Paper Mill Playhouse, The Public Theatre, The Fulton Theatre, etc).
