Quite some time has passed since the last time Miami has seen exclusive, inconceivable art. The Horizon Arts Gallery, located in the heart of Wynwood, Miami is looking to change this predominant reality. The gallery is featuring one of Israel’s most prominent and original artists, David Gerstein. Gerstein has been hailed as one of the most innovative artists in the world today. While that might seem to be a bold statement, it is impossible not to recognize his ingenuity and far-reaching imagination after viewing his work. Gerstein is an accomplished artist in a wide variety of mediums; his works revolve around a variety of paintings to wall sculptures to intricate paper cut-outs. After working with various materials and mediums, Gerstein embraced steel and used it to create works that were completely new to the art world. Gerstein fashions his pieces from layers of cut-out steel and then hand-paints them in bold, vibrant colors. His works are playful in spirit yet mind-boggling in complexity, featuring a myriad of colorful butterflies, exotic birds, bicyclists, flowers, and jazz musicians among other subjects. Gerstein’s wall sculptures are featured in numerous public spaces around the world, from his native Israel to United Kingdom to France, Germany, and Korea. He is famous for his outdoor sculptures, which beautifully embellish shopping centers and city squares around the globe. In addition to, his works are represented in galleries and museums in more than 20 countries. Miami will now also incorporate these fine works in accordance with Moshe Haviv, the exclusive gallery’s owner.

Touzet Studio is design and architecture studio located in Miami. We seek to design buildings and objects that are creative and modern with great attention to detail and mastery of materials. We believe that it is very important to be mindful of the entire context of the design as well as the dreams and aspirations of the people who engage with it. The actual process of crafting design is very important to us. Although we employ the very latest technology, we still value the best of the “old school” approaches. We build produce many iterative physical models and hand drawn sketches in our highly creative and collaborative studio environment. Many of our designs are worked on collaboratively with craftsmen and handcrafted in Miami. We have a great passion for knowledge of materials, technology and design that seek to bring to every project- coupled with a sincere desire to listen and to be mindful of what our clients are looking for and what the best solution is for that particular project. Touzet Studio currently works on many different scales and types of projects all over the world- the one common thread is a desire for excellence in design at all levels, a rigorous design process and great attention to detail.
