A coroner's job is more than just recovering a body from an accident or death scene. A coroner investigates and determines a medical/legal cause of death. My medical and legal training allow me to make those determinations. Through collaborative efforts with local, state and regional law enforcement agencies that value and that adhere to recognized best investigative practices, advances in technology and ongoing forensic training, my efforts will be focused to serve those who can no longer serve themselves. I currently am the only state certified medicolegal investigator running for the coroner's office. Scene investigation should conducted by a medicolegal death investigator who receives training in manner and causes of death, as well as crime scene investigation and evidence collection. I am such a person.
● As a former Campbell County deputy coroner, I am familiar with the operation of the Coroner's office.
● I am certified by the state of Wyoming as a coroner and I am the only candidate with coroner experience.
● I am certified and trained in death scene investigation and Medicolegal investigation, to determine the cause and manor of death.
● I vow to sign death certificates in an accurate and timely manor, and not drag out and prolong a family's grief.
● As coroner, I will institute safety training for all my deputies. This is something that is sorely lacking in the current coroner's office.
● As coroner, I will be involved with investigations personally and not just rely on my deputies. A rested staff is an accurate staff. Overworked personnel are more prone to inaccuracies.
