Bean Sprout Learning Center was established with the intention of preparing young children for a love of learning in a safe, affordable and developmentally appropriate environment; staffed by caring and capable individuals.Bean Sprout Learning Center provides a hands-on based program for children ages 6 weeks to 4 years. We understand that each child develops and learns differently within his/her abilities, skills, and proficiency. We encourage children to develop at their own pace and make choices and decisions whenever possible. We are dedicated to helping children explore the world around them and gain independence and self-esteem. We aim to work in partnership with our Bean Sprout Learning Center parents to take learning to the next level.
It is the philosophy of Upward Way Childcare Center to create a stable environment in which the children within our care are provided with all elements pertaining to their physical, intellectual, emotional and social growth; also, to establish an environment where nurturing is an important as their educational growth. The center believes that the future of our students begin with full interaction on all levels of growth. St. James’ Academy seeks to provide a nurturing environment and after-school tutorial assistance to elementary school children who attend schools in the West Baltimore communities of Harlem Park, Lafayette Square, Sandtown-Winchester, and Upton. This mission is in keeping with the larger role of St. James’ Episcopal Church in the community and its Christian obligation to help meet the needs of all persons who seek support.
MICA's Counseling Center offers the following free services: individual, group, family and couples counseling, stress reduction through meditation, guided imagery, exercise and nutrition. Our counselors are highly trained and experienced and are able to work with students who are suffering from adjustment disorders, clinical depression, anxiety, eating disorders, bi-polar disorder, drug and alcohol problems as well as dealing with all types of crisis intervention such as sexual assault, suicide, bereavement and accidents. We also have a list of psychiatrists, psychologists and social workers in private practice in the Baltimore community if a student would like to be referred off-campus or requires more in-depth counseling than we are able to provide.
