We provide technical support and assistance to local, state and federal disaster management organizations, and bring these practical solutions back to the academic environment. This approach allows our students to benefit from cutting edge EM projects.

The ASLC Game Committee is the student-run organization that hosts gaming socials and gaming competitions to build a community with a common interest: the combination of art, music, and interactive media. We also have a large library of video and board games, which are all free to play for all students. All of our events are hosted at the Askew Student Life Building on FSU's campus, also home to the Student Life Cinema. (Sometimes we borrow the gigantic movie screen for our events) If you'd like to join our community to plan and coordinate tournaments and events, meetings are held in the Program Office of the Askew Student Life Center on Wednesdays at 6:30PM.

The Jon C. Dalton Institute on College Student Values brings together students, faculty, and professionals from inside and outside the higher education setting to discuss a common goal: preparing present and future students to become engaged individuals of integrity. The "Dalton Experience," as we like to call it, combines the scholarship of a national conference with the community of a professional development workshop. It has a rich history spanning more than a quarter century. The Dalton Institute is held each February in Tallahassee, Florida. We aim to bring recognizable speakers, to explore timely issues, and to provide an excellent professional development opportunity through reasonable registration costs, an ideal size, and outstanding hospitality.

The Florida State Chapter of Black Retail Action Group was founded in order to create, endorse, and encourage minority participation in the retail sector. FSU Childcare & Early Learning Programs provides care and educational experiences in two centers for children, ages six weeks to five years of age. Both centers are licensed through the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) and accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). These high quality early learning environments also provide sites for research by faculty members and graduate students in a variety of academic areas as well as a participatory setting in which students may observe and work with young children.

The Inter-Residence Hall Council, composed of campus residents, offers a way to meet new people while creating an atmosphere conducive to learning. IRHC governs residence hall governments. The purpose of the Inter-Residence Hall Council is to coordinate programs and activities for the enhancement of student life in the residence halls, to represent the views of residents, and to enhance communication between residence halls

The Oglesby Union Board is established to provide students, faculty, and staff with activities, programs and services to be offered through the Oglesby Union Complex. The Union Board represents the University community to ensure that the facilities, services, and amenities offered by the Oglesby Union Complex meet the needs and interests of their constituents.

The Department of Art Education is part of the College of Fine Arts at Florida State University and consists of four Graduate Programs: Art Education, Art Therapy, Arts Administration, and Museum Education and Exhibitions (MEX). Art for Life is the vision which guides our four graduate programs: The Art Education Program’s principle goals are to deepen the visual and cultural literacy of future art teachers and to increase the shared body of visual information which is crucial for the fundamental base of art knowledge from which art instructors must teach. The Art Therapy Program is designed to promote the use of art therapy as a means of reconciling conflicts, fostering self-awareness, facilitating personal development, and to expand knowledge of special and clinical populations. The Arts Administration Program is also designed to educate aspiring arts and cultural leaders about the theory and practice of socially responsible arts administration. The Museum Education and Exhibitions (MEX) Program consists of specialized innovative training for aspiring museum educators, with a focus on visitor-centered exhibitions. This philosophy is based on the tenets put forth in the book, Art For Life, written by Dr. Tom Anderson and Dr. Melody Milbrandt. The power of art for social justice and societal change is not only infused in our philosophy, but is the overarching theme that pervades our curriculum. Our Purpose As a comprehensive education and research program, we strive to effect positive change in the community, the University, and our respective professions. Four courses provide students with advanced knowledge and practical experience for work in events management. The education and skills learned in the courses provide the latest techniques for today’s event management professional. Acceptance into the Event Management Certificate Program is based on the following requirement: 1. Earned baccalaureate degree from an accredited college/university 2. Acceptance by Florida State University as a graduate degree seeking student Topic areas include Event Planning Management, Event Marketing, Sponsorships, Event Management Issues in Ethics, Event Risk Management and an experiential Practicum in Event Management.

The Florida State University School of Communication is a School within the College of Communication and Information. The Department of Communication is home to Seminole Productions, a leading sports production effort in the United States. The faculty and students of Seminole Productions have won more than 40 national and international awards for advanced video work.

The Center for Innovative Collaboration in Medicine and Law is a joint effort of the FSU College of Medicine and FSU College of Law. The Center explores educational, research and advocacy avenues for collaboration and cooperation between the medical and legal professions on behalf of the well-being of consumers who are both physicians' patients and attorneys' clients. The Center is led by Professor Marshall B. Kapp, J.D., M.P.H., who is a professor in the College of Medicine Department of Geriatrics, professor in the College of Law, and an affiliate of the FSU Claude Pepper Institute. Who’s the club for? Anyone who’s a triathlete. Anyone who swims, bikes, or runs. Anyone who has an interest or wants to become interested in any of those sports. Anyone who wants to become an endurance athlete and feel the rush of competition!! …oh but you must be an official FSU student to get all the cool club discounts. However feel free to train with us if you’re in town (as long as you have a waiver!). Who’s in the club? Check out the Contacts page for bios on all the officers. We have around 60 regularly active members and 50 or so more who payed dues. Everyone in the club is an FSU undergrad/grad student. We have members who have raced in Ironmans (fulls and halfs), members who do sprints or olympic distances, marathons, one member that is a triathlon coach and sponsored by Powerbar, and some members who haven’t ever raced in a triathlon but love training with us. I’m worried everyone is going to be super-intense and just train all the time…. and leave me to drown in the pool. NO WORRIES! We have all skill levels and NO EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY to join! All you need is passion to do triathlons (otherwise you probably won’t have much fun at workouts). PLUS… we don’t just train all the time. Its the middle of the semester and I saw some hott triathletes running around campus… I wanna join your club but I’m worried its too late. It’s never too late! You may not want to pay dues if it’s close to the end of the semester, but you are always welcome to check out a meeting or come to a workout. Talk to an officer and we’ll make sure to work something out for you! Is your team any good? In 2010-2011 the team really grew and developed a solid base. We took 26 athletes to Nationals, and had 3 place in the top 20… including Colin Riley who got 4th overall in the graduate student division. Check out the Tallahassee Democrat article for more. This coming year we plan to take more to Nationals, plus several other FCTC or local Florida races.
