At Relay For Life events, communities across the globe come together to honor cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against a disease that has already taken too much. The funds you raise truly make a difference in the fight against cancer just ask one of the nearly 14 million cancer survivors who will celebrate another birthday this year! Relay For Life teams camp out overnight and take turns walking or running around a track or path at a local high school, park, or fairground. Events are up to 24 hours long, and because cancer never sleeps, each team is asked to have at least one participant on the track at all times.

Who are we and what do we do? Many people in our parish feel a strong desire to bring Christ's message of love directly to those in need. That's what the St. Vincent de Paul Society is all about.
We do not exist to build an organization. Instead, our water projects serve as a catalyst for building men. More than 20 years ago, IMPACT invited a small group of men to build a fresh water system for an Auca Indian village in the heart of the Ecuadorian jungle. The purpose of IMPACT was forged when we saw first-hand how a man's heart and view of himself can change forever. Twenty-five years later, we have completed projects in numerous villages in developing countries across three continents. Come be a part of something truly worthwhile.
WoodmenLife is a different kind of life insurance company: we're not-for-profit. We give back on a local level through chapters that help us lead community service projects you care about.
The Dee Howard Foundation believes there is work to do (in collaboration with our community partners) to preserve and build on the legacies of Dee Howard, Ed Swearingen, and other San Antonio aviation pioneers by improving access to and the quality of education, technical skills training, and employment opportunities in the San Antonio Region and continuing the legacy of innovative technological leadership in the global aviation and aerospace markets. In July 2013, Dee Howard's children, Dee Ann Bridges and Lonnie Dean Howard, in collaboration with Dee's long time friend and former Senior Vice President and General Counsel of The Dee Howard Co., Wayne I. Fagan, established The Dee Howard Foundation Fund at the San Antonio Area Foundation. The Dee Howard Foundation was founded to build on the legacy of legendary aviation pioneer and entrepreneur Dee Howard by preserving the rich history of aviation in San Antonio of which Dee was a part, and to build and expand on that history for current and future generations.
The National Trauma Institute was established to provide the leadership to focus a research agenda and gather the necessary funding to move it quickly toward solutions to trauma’s biggest challenges. No other U.S. health agency or institute deals solely with traumatic injury, and funding for such research has significantly lagged that dedicated to other public health priorities. Visit our Facebook page to keep up with our funding opportunities, research results and organizational accomplishments, and please suggest it to trauma professionals and potential funders.
