Get to know us- Sorrel’s 5 W’s Who: Executive Chef Alexander Hong and partner Brennan Corbin What: Sorrel’s menu is a calibration of Californian Cuisine (local, organic, seasonal produce) with robust and dynamic Italian influences. We offer tasting menus accompanied with carefully and expertly selected wine pairings from our Sommeliers. When: Tickets and reservations can be made at http://www.sorrelrestaurant.com/reserve/. Tickets are first come, first serve. Where: Our location changes every pop up. Why: Why not? But seriously, we are two young passionate guys exhilarated about opening up our own restaurant one day, and we hope that day is soon. Sorrel is a perfect launching pad to showcase our ever-changing seasonal menus, fine tune our service atmosphere and establish our personal brand identity and customer following. Why the name Sorrel? Sorrel is a wild and indigenous plant that grows abundantly throughout the bay area. Sorrel is a relative of the rhubarb family, has over 35 varieties and has a puckery citrus flavor. This herb is great for sauces, salads and garnishes - adding a unique citrusy finish on the palate.
