My Name is Jesse Garcia and am currently a Mechanical Engineer Student at Cal Poly Pomona. I am a full-time student and a part-time phototogrpher for th Cal Poly Music Department. I have a wide background in Photography and FIlm as well as other creative mediums. As child I started using Adobe Illustrator and absolutely loved it. From there I taught myself how to use Photoshop and practiced as mch as I ould by editing pictures I found on the Internet. Once I got bored of editting other people's pictures, I tried taking my own pictures. I used whatever camera I could get a hold of whether a Disposable Camera, Point and Shoot, or even a Cell Phone Camera. Taking pictures for me personally is a way for a person to make and preserve art by using real everyday things. I got my first Digital SLR (Olympus E-410) when I was in highschool and I used it as much as I could. Just last year I upgraded and got a Canon SLR and from there I have accumulated a set of Lenses that allow me expand my Photography and the quality of my photos. I have learned to use External Flash systems and the intricacies of Lighting. I have also learned a lot in the Field of Film and Television Production with an emphesis in Camera Work. I have taken a Film and Television Production Class for 2 years that has taught me a lot about film editting and camera operating. From there I have also had hands on experience directing, and working every position within a production team. It has helped me tlearn more about camera Techniques, the Rules of Composition, Lighting and Of Course Film Making. I enjoy Filming and Editing in addition to photography as anothe means of expresion. My equipment my be limited by my experience and creativity can make up for it in almost any situation.
