There’s a sexiness to Clive, masculinity with an earthy glow. If a space can be seductive, Clive is that space. Dark wood, leather, low light, and easy style. Friendly, of course. Mysterious, I’d say so. It’s been a favorite for quite a while, and a place where relationships just sort of happen—friendships, lovers, marriages often start with a good drink, the right vibes, and a relaxed sexiness. Don’t take my word for it. Come spend some time with Clive, have a cocktail, shoot some darts, and judge for yourself. You’re mysterious, aren’t you? RESPONSIBLE ALCOHOL USE POLICY We support the responsible use of alcohol by our patrons and guests. We also hold our employees accountable and demand the highest level of professionalism and training. Our families, friends and customers travel on our roads and through our collective responsibility, we all help to keep them safe.
WE DELIGHT IN… sipping cold gin cocktails on hot front porches, slow-turning ceiling fans, small batch spirits, Stetsons, straight bourbon whiskey, inspiration scrawled on cocktail napkins, dirty secrets, deep belly laughter, a toast for revelry, a shot for solemnity, flirtatious winks, saying “please” and “thank you,” standing up for our friends, and respecting our elders. All the simple pleasures that make life worth living.
Lucille is a charming renovated 1920’s bar in Austin’s Rainey Street district. The décor is a departure from the rest of Rainey bars. Lucille’s sexy lighting, chandeliers and atmosphere are what bring you in but the drinks and friendly staff are what will keep you in. Drinks are exquisite made with fresh fruits and ingredients and local handcrafted liquors. If you want to experience a chill day or evening come to our outdoor patio bar and hang out on our hammocks. It is rumored that in the 1920s a sassy flapper girl named Lucille inhabited the residence. The house was used over the years for late night entertaining, music, and dancing. Lucille ran off with a handsome successful business man and hasn’t been seen since. The mystique of Lucille bar is legendary. Come visit us. You never know when Lucille might make an appearance…
Seven years of college down the drain…Until now! In 2011 four Austin friends decided to put their former degenerate years to good use and open a bar we would be proud to share. Javelina takes its cues from our favorite places in Texas: neighborhood ice houses, hill country beer joints and historic dance halls. We added some family recipes and ranch weekend ingenuity to our food and drink menu to round out a good time. If you had to throw a label at it we’d call it Hill Country Soul. Hard to define but come check us out and see if you like it.

Located at 87 Rainey Street, for more information visit novaonrainey.com or @NovaOnRainey on Instagram.
