The third annual Dutchtown Bazaar will be held June 11 at St. Mary's High School in South St. Louis. Three years ago, we created this event to help raise money for the Neighborhood Improvement Model being used by the citizens of Dutchtown. The Neighborhood Ownership Model, developed by residents of the City of St. Louis in 2010, has now been adopted by many neighborhoods across the City. The Neighborhood Ownership Model is a citizen-led program that is supported by the St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office, the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department and the Office of the Mayor. Dutchtown is one of the largest neighborhoods in the city, and as such, experiences both great diversity as well as adversity. When citizens band together to help fix and prevent problems in their neighborhoods, everyone wins. At the bazaar, you will enjoy a wide variety of interesting wares, from handmade arts and crafts to intriguing flea market junk. With the move to St. Mary's, we have room for food trucks this year. Admission is always free.
