The new stadium incorporated a football field encircled by a regulation track with a seating capacity of 26,000. The dedication game, a match-up with the Midshipmen of the U.S. Naval Academy, was orchestrated with the help of BC benefactor and then-Massachusetts Senator John F. Kennedy. Kennedy, who had received his honorary degree at Commencement Exercises in Alumni Field the previous year, would return to Alumni Stadium on a number of occasions over the course of his political career, including a 1963 Convocation Address, one of his last public appearances.

The Silvio O. Conte Forum, commonly known as Conte Forum, Kelley Rink (for ice hockey games), or simply Conte, is an 8,606-seat multi-purpose arena which opened in 1988 on the campus of Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts that lies within the Brighton neighborhood of Boston. Conte Forum is home to the Boston College Eagles men's and women's basketball and ice hockey teams as well as the Boston College Marching Band.HistoryConte Forum is named for former United States congressman Silvio O. Conte, an alumnus of Boston College and Boston College Law School. The ice rink is named in honor of long-time BC hockey coach John "Snooks" Kelley. The entire arena is traditionally called "Kelley Rink" during hockey games.Before the arena opened in 1988, the BC basketball teams played their home games in Roberts Center to the immediate southwest of Alumni Stadium, on the site of the present-day Merkert Chemistry Center. The Eagles hockey teams played at McHugh Forum which was positioned parallel to Alumni Stadium. Conte Forum was built on the site of McHugh Forum, and is situated perpendicular to the football stadium. The arena is directly adjacent to Alumni, with some luxury boxes overlooking both the football field and arena floors.

The Wallace E. Carroll School of Management, also referred to as The School of Management or simply CSOM, as it is colloquially known, is the business school of Boston College, in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, United States. The school was renamed in 1989 in honor of industrialist and Boston College alumnus Wallace Carroll, whose 10-million-dollar donation was the largest private grant to the university at the time.Established in 1938, the school offers B.S., M.B.A., and Ph.D degrees, in addition to M.S. degrees in both finance and accounting, along with joint degree programs with Boston College's other schools.HistoryThe Carroll School of Management was founded as the "College of Business Administration" in 1938, as Boston College was fulfilling the obligations of its university charter.
