Cafe Agora brings you very unique and eclectic tastes representing the Aegean Coasts’ traditional food here to Atlanta. The name of the Cafe comes from a very special gathering place from Greece. An agora acted as a marketplace and a forum to the citizens of the polis. The most famous Agora places were built at Ephesus based in Turkey and Athens based in Greece. The most famous Agora is preserved in Turkey, Izmir as the Agora Open Air Museum of Izmir. The best flavored white cheeses and yogurts are prepared from the finest milk. Especially in the western parts of Turkey, where olive trees are grown abundantly, olive oil is the main ingredient used for cooking. “Pide” and “tandir bread” are two types of authentic bread made here at Cafe Agora. Here we represent the most fresh and the finest authentic food from the coast of Aegean, where the finest dishes of vegetables and grills are served to people who are craving for authentic Mediterranean tastes.
Chama meaning “flame” in Portuguese, is the essence of an authentic, Brazilian steakhouse. This “flame” also describes the “passion” the gauchos, Brazilian cowboys, have for their culture and tradition. This Heritage spans back centuries as European immigrants migrated to Southern Brazil. In the vast plains and fertile lands, a region known as Pampas, the gauchos tend to large herds of cattle as they roam and graze through Southern Brazil. At the end of the day, they gather around the churrasco, the fire pit or grill, to eat and share stories.
"What is Thai food? Every country in the world has its own food profile. It reflects its culture, environment, ingenuity and values. In the case of Thailand, these words come to mind: intricacy; attention to detail; texture; color; taste; and the use of ingredients with medicinal benefits, as well as good flavor. We not only pay attention to how a dish tastes: we are also concerned about how it looks, how it smells, and how it fits in with the rest of the meal. We think of all parts of the meal as a whole - sum rap Thai (the way Thais eat), is the term we use for the unique components that make up a characteristically Thai meal."
