RSA at La Salle University has two main functions, to represent resident students on university committees addressing any and all residential concerns, and to provide programming for students while they reside on campus. Concerns RSA has helped to address in the past range from things relating to safety and security to physical facilities concerns and even to things such as the guest policy and vandalism. Examples of our programming successes in the past include The Price is Right game show, where we have given away over $2000 dollars in prizes, Minute to Win It, Labor Day BBQ, Rave On La Salle, Murder Mystery Dinner, and the long standing traditions of Carnifall on Homecoming Weekend. We have also done smaller things like bus trips to Medieval Times, midnight coffee and doughnuts during finals, and hosted capture the flag on main campus. If you have a concern or programming idea, you can attend the meeting for your area government board or directly to the executive board through Marie Wheatley, the Director of Area Relations, at [email protected].

While using Facebook, this allows all of the alumni to cordially interact with one another and to also follow up with lost contacts. This platform is a great tool for many thinking about making career changes, following up with other alums and seeing how things are going, or even just following up with the University as a whole! The students of the Public Health Program are as diverse and varied as the field of public health itself, but we share a common interest in its practice. We wish to make a difference in the health of communities by working to solve problems which correspond to our broad range of backgrounds and interests. We seek to enhance our academic, professional, and social experience during our journey at La Salle University through the creation of a student organization. Therefore, we come together in this organization to: • Provide community service related to Public Health; • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and other student groups at La Salle University to advocate for public health issues on campus; • Launch independent education-related initiatives to promote La Salle’s PH program; • Organize student activities, events, and networking opportunities with other students, faculty, and alumni; • To evaluate evidence-based public health research; • Disseminate public health internship positions for students who want to get experience before starting their practicum; • Facilitate field trips to public health organizations at least once a year; • To foster relationships with current practitioners of public health; • Plan fundraising events for participation in public health conferences.
We plan multiple events semester focusing on social, academic/educational and community service. Our programs are theme driven, providing food, activities, prizes, and more.
