The theatre program at WWU will train you in all aspects of theatre, focusing on performance, theatre technology and musical theatre. We also offer theatre education to prepare future drama teachers. Even as a freshman you have opportunities for immediate mainstage experience because we show no preferences in casting. You gain valuable experience in four mainstage productions, student laboratory productions and other performance/technical opportunities. You will get to work with a variety of guest directors and designers. The theatre major balances a strong academic program with a cocurricular production season and an annual portfolio review. Minors available include theatre and music. "By majoring in theatre at William Woods, I have been able to gain immediate professional experience. The extraordinary faculty and staff give students a chance to develop new skills and talents while enhancing and polishing their strengths. William Woods University is an American co-educational, independent, private university in Fulton, Missouri with 3,800 students. The university offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in a variety of disciplines in campus and outreach settings and online.First known as the Female Orphan School, the institution was founded in 1870 in Camden Point, Missouri in response to the needs of female children orphaned during the war.During the late nineteenth century, the institution moved to Fulton and expanded its elementary and secondary programs to accommodate young women who aspired to become teachers. Known briefly at the beginning of the twentieth century as Daughters College, the institution changed its name to William Woods College to honor a major benefactor and began offering a two-year college program. In 1962, anticipating dramatic changes in the role of American women in the labor force, William Woods became a four-year college.Expanding its mission to address the need for graduate and adult-oriented programs, the institution became known as William Woods University in 1993 and began offering graduate degrees and admitting men as well as women into all of its programs. The university was founded 1870 and although independent, has a historical affiliation to the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).The university is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association and is ranked 91st in the Midwest among regional universities, according to the 2011 edition of Best Colleges by U.S. News Media Group.

Psychology, a scientific discipline, applies scientific results to the human condition. The William Woods psychology major allows students to explore both the science and its application. Students are offered the opportunity to develop their own scientific projects through course assignments, independent studies, and the Mentor-Mentee program. Past student projects have resulted in presentations at the state, regional, national, and international levels. All students who have chosen to submit for publication have had their research results published.

Cox Gallery is a museum quality exhibition space that features rotating exhibits from students, faculty, alumni, and regional artists.We welcome you to come and visit. All exhibits are free and open to the public. The gallery may be closed when school is not in session, except for special events.
Westminster College is a member of the NCAA Division III and St. Louis Collegiate Athletic Conference. We are small private liberal arts institution located in Fulton, Missouri. The college enrolls just under 1,100 students which provides our students the opportunity to get to know their professors and classmates. At Westminster our student-athletes are challenged academically while excelling on the court/field/track and having the opportunity to get involved in a variety of clubs and organizations.
