Life often holds unexpected struggles that we must face, yet asking for support can be very difficult. It is the goal of this practice to make this process as easy, safe, and comfortable as possible. The office is a warm, welcoming space that allows for safe exploration of many difficult issues including: grief and loss, couples and relationship concerns, child and adolescent difficulties, women's issues, depression, and anxiety. The practice is conveniently located in central Denver, right off of I-25 and Speer, and welcomes people of all ages and backgrounds. Working with people to overcome obstacles and find joy in life is what is truly important to me. I found my way to the counseling profession after I graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. I was working in a doctor's office as a front office manager and volunteering at a local safe house for women and their children escaping intimate partner violence when I realized that my real passion lies in the mental health field. You see, through these experiences I was able to work closely with clients struggling with many different types of issues. I was able to get to know each person and see life from his/her point of view. This led me to the realization that the well-being of people is what I want to dedicate my life's work to. I returned to school and received a Master of Arts in Counseling from Regis University, a program accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling & Related Educational Programs (CACREP). While attending graduate school I was given the opportunity to be part of the Denver Public School system team, working with adolescents striving to improve their academic standing. Here, I gained skills in working with children and adolescents that directly relate to my counseling competency with youth. I have strong knowledge of developmental stages, as well as the therapeutic techniques appropriate for youth of different ages. At the counseling lab at Regis University I provided therapy to couples, families, and individuals. I found great pleasure in working with couples and individuals struggling with relationship issues. Although there are many types of difficulties in life, they all seem harder to bare when you feel alone. I've found that often people feel the most alone when they are in relationships that are not functioning in a healthy, loving way. Helping couples find a way back to the happiness they once knew allows each individual a more stable platform on which to experience the rest of life's difficulties and celebrations. As part of my education, I was given the chance to work as a grief counselor intern at Judi's House, a grief center for children and their families. In this position I was educated and trained in a researched based grief treatment modality. I counseled children, 3 years and older, as well as adults. Although the death of a loved one is extremely difficult, I found a passion in working with people who are trying to find some healing in such a dark time. I am able to pull from all these experience when working with people in my private practice. Seeing the people I work with find ways to thrive is extremely rewarding. As a private practitioner, I recognize how difficult it is to begin the therapeutic process and admire the bravery of each and every client who comes through my doors.

Buzzworthy Baby, formerly known as Baby Art, was started by Kris O’Neill in 1986 in the tiny back room of her house in Cadillac, MI. Kris loved the idea of a fun, colorful, personalized baby gift that people could hang in their child's nursery. Kris's unique approach was to seamlessly integrate information about every newborn into a colorful and versatile collage. The baby's name, weight, time and date of birth, siblings, parents, and other personal information could be preserved forever in a pictorial homage to the family's special day. At first, Kris gave the personalized prints away as gifts to friends and family members with new babies. However, once the "buzz" spread on her colorful and intricate designs, she started selling them to families near and far. Being featured at a Chicago gift show in 1989 led to Kris's artwork going viral, and soon, her designs were being sold in hundreds of stores across the nation. Employees were added and a move to a studio was necessary to quickly produce more prints. However, in 1994, the conflict between running a business and being an involved mother of her two sons, Kyle and Devin, caused Kris to close up shop, until the day the company could be reawakened. 18 years later, one of Kris's sons decided to rock the cradle. Intrigued by how many people had cherished his mother's artwork, entrepreneur Devin O'Neill spearheaded the business side of what he rechristened "Buzzworthy Baby." Today, Kris keeps the initial vision of Buzzworthy Baby alive, offering the same personalized and colorful collages, as well as seeking out more creative gift ideas for new and growing families.
