Gabelli School of Business (GSB) strives to develop independent thinkers, educated in theory and practice, with an appreciation of global perspectives who can communicate effectively, work in teams and solve problems in an ethical manner. Our students learn through a variety of methods including case analysis, team projects and hands-on learning opportunities. A variety of business majors are offered by the GSB and the majority are accredited by the AACSB International, which represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools worldwide. Classes in the GSB facilitate student learning through close and continuing interaction with faculty. The faculty conducts classes using a variety of pedagogical approaches: lecture, the Socratic (dialectical) method, case analysis and discussion, team projects, executive lectures and student presentations. Faculty also provide academic and career advising.

Construction managers are the leaders of the design-build process, and work for owners, builders, designers, subcontractors and a multitude of government and technical agencies. They control the “means and methods” of construction, develop the budgets and manage the project schedules. On-time, on-budget completion is a typical CM responsibility which has become increasingly difficult given today’s technically and organizationally complex projects. Owners, designers and construction managers must all work collaboratively to create integrated best value solutions that meet a client’s needs. To work as a construction manager, graduates need technical, managerial, research and problem solving skills. Our program provides this education with a balanced curriculum which includes engineering, construction, business, mathematics, science and liberal arts courses. Employer surveys regularly report our graduates meeting or exceeding all performance expectations and regularly outperforming graduates from many of our peer institutions. Graduates find employment with companies in all project sectors: residential, commercial building and heavy highway. The Construction Management program is accredited by the American Council of Construction Education (ACCE).

The Family Law Society (FLS) is a student run organization. Membership is open to all Roger Williams University of Law students. FLS welcomes students interested in pursuing law careers in the field and subspecialty of family law, as well as those interested in other fields, or even those having no idea what area they want to go into, but would like to check out what family law is and has to offer. AITECE offers teachers and experts the following services: Placement in recommended Chinese institutes Orientation before taking up their placements Assistance during their term of service in China through mediation with the institute authorities and advice on practical problems Support of like-minded people involved in similar work. AITECE provides educational institutes in developing areas of China with: Foreign teachers and experts to meet their academic needs, Pre-arrival screening and orientation for the teachers/experts, An on-going mediating role with the teachers/experts. What are the opportunities in China? There are openings in Chinese colleges and universities for teachers of English, other modern languages, accounting, finance, journalism, law, marketing, and other fields. Chinese educational institutions (under the Education Commission) pay those who qualify a monthly salary and provide free accommodation. Depending on your qualifications, and the finances of the institute, you may also be provided with full or partial airfare. Is AITECE a reliable organization? AITECE’s goals are to contribute to the modernization of China, especially through the exchange of personnel, and to promote international understanding and friendship. Since its founding in 1988, AITECE has sponsored over 400 foreign teachers and experts. They have worked in over 30 institutes in eleven provinces or major cities of China. AITECE is registered as a non-profit organization in Hong Kong and with the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs in Beijing. It offers its services free of charge to both the teacher/expert and the educational institute. It does so in the belief that it is building better relations among peoples through mutual sharing of understanding and values. NOTE: Since the teachers’/experts’ contracts are made directly with the institutes, while wishing to be of service to both parties, AITECE has no contractual obligations toward either of them.
Roger Williams University's international Cultural Immersion Language Program (CILP) was founded in 2013. The Program is provided by the University's Spiegel Center for Global and International Programs based at Global Heritage Hall on our beautiful Bristol, Rhode Island campus. CILP offers a three-week intensive American culture and English language immersion experience that encompasses a rich variety of classroom activities and site visits to unique locations of cultural interest.

Yup, you heard it here first – Roger Williams University is on the water. Our residence halls look out onto Mount Hope Bay, Mount Hope Bridge, North Campus and toward the academic quad. Even more important than the view, however, is the company. Our residence halls have typical singles, doubles, triples and even a few quads and quints, but also offer apartment and suite-style living arrangements.
