The Wisconsin State Capitol, in Madison, Wisconsin, houses both chambers of the Wisconsin legislature along with the Wisconsin Supreme Court and the Office of the Governor. Completed in 1917, the building is the fifth to serve as the Wisconsin capitol since the first territorial legislature convened in 1836 and the third building since Wisconsin was granted statehood in 1848. The Wisconsin State Capitol is the tallest building in Madison, a distinction that has been preserved by legislation that prohibits buildings taller than the columns surrounding the dome (187 feet). The Capitol is located at the southwestern end of the Madison Isthmus. The streets surrounding the building form the Capitol Square, which is home to many restaurants and shops.HistoryFirst capitolThe first capitol was a prefabricated wood-frame council house without heat or water that had been sent hastily to Belmont. Legislators met there for 42 days after Belmont was designated the capital of Wisconsin Territory. The session chose Madison as the site of the capitol, and Burlington, Iowa as the site of further legislative sessions until Madison could be ready. The council house and an associated lodging house still stand and are operated by the Wisconsin Historical Society as the First Capitol Historic Site.

Since I inherited my Dad's heavy Canon SLR as a kid I've loved capturing everything around me from people and animals to plants and architecture. I feel particularly honored to be part of a couple's marriage celebration and to take portraits of elders with a great life story (every single one I've met ;) I love portrait sessions but I'm especially thrilled when a photojournalism opportunity comes my way. Look for my work in ISTHMUS, Noisey, Wisconsin Natural Resources magazine, BRAVA, Voice of the River Valley, and Madison Magazine. jentricolello.com [email protected]

ZTALKRADIO NETWORK POLICY FOR CHATROOM MODERATION AND PARTICIPATION: The Z Talk Radio Network was created under the belief that Freedom of Speech is the lawful right of every human being. The network was designed where each host own their own show and is responsible for the content within the scheduled time agreed upon. We, as a network, provide them with their time slot and use of the webpage and chat room. It is the responsibility of the owner, program director, management team and moderators to provide a safe and secure environment in which to air individual shows. We do not and will not censor or control the format, guest list or subject matter of any show on this network. We have not and will not allow bullying or verbal attacks on any show, its hosts and guests of the show, or chat room listeners under any circumstances. We will however, allow constructive and respectable debates if it in fact pertains to the show and topic currently airing. If we as a network allowed a “free for all” attack in the chat room during any show we would in fact be violating the very definition of freedom of speech and in all essence censoring the shows on air by not allowing the hosts or guests of their show to speak freely without fear of retribution or threats of any kind. Those choosing to enter the chat room with the intent of causing disruption and derailing the show on air will be dealt with immediately. Upon receiving information of such an attack on a show or guests of the show, we as the owner and program director of the network may choose to lock down the room in order to prevent an all-out attack. If an attack were allowed to occur, the attackers would in fact be attempting to censor a show on air with a subject matter that had no bearing on the topic being discussed. If anyone has a valid concern, that concern should be addressed to the owner of that show by contacting them through their own website contact information. If anyone has a valid concern regarding the network, they may contact any member of the management using the link at the top of the website. Escape Chambers Madison is like nothing you have ever seen before. Located in downtown Madison, Escape Chambers Madison is the real‐life incarnation of movies like Saw, National Treasure, Sherlock Holmes, and The DaVinci Code. Puzzles, riddles, and coded messages are your only means of escape, as this is more a mental challenge than physical. Successfully navigating the different scenarios of the rooms, require more than just brains, alone…you must learn to communicate and work together with your team members, if you want any hope of walking out the doors to freedom. Group sizes vary, based on each different scenario, and all ages are welcome; although we do recommend participants be 10 and older, as some of our rooms contain more of a “fear factor.” Scenarios differ in difficulty and intensity, depending on the size of the group. While some of the puzzles appear quite simple in their inception, adrenaline and the stress from an unyielding countdown timer, inching ever‐closer to zero, makes seemingly ordinary tasks, mentally exhilarating! The creators will put your cognitive abilities to the ultimate test, while providing a level of entertainment rarely seen these days. And unlike other escape rooms, the seamless execution of combining mind-bending riddles, adrenaline‐spiking moments of suspense and surprise, and engaging story lines, provides participants with the type of realistic experience that you simply cannot find anywhere else.
