A Little History: The first ever WEBB Party was held in April of 1993. A handful of friends decided to throw a spectacular Fiesta Kick off Party to benefit the San Antonio AIDS Foundation, and WEBB began its life as a casual celebration during Fiesta. In the year 1995 SAAF took over the planning of the event and The WEBB Party has since become one of SAAF’s most popular fundraisers.

San Antonio community leaders pair with young ladies from the Boys & Girls Club of San Antonio to enter into a Poetry Slam or, spoken-word poetry competition. A Poetry Slam is the competitive art of performance poetry. Slamming puts a dual emphasis on writing and performance, encouraging poets to focus on what they are saying and how they are saying it. Talk About It! educates the community on the importance of Care. Adopt. Neuter. to help San Antonio become the largest no-kill city in the nation. Through a strategic plan adopted in 2006, the City of San Antonio committed to becoming a no-kill community for companion animals. No-kill means any healthy, treatable, or adoptable pet that ends up at the city shelter will not be put down simply because there is no space for them. Established in 2007, Talk About It! serves as the driving force to bring people together in an effort to achieve no-kill in San Antonio. We help all animal welfare organizations and groups achieve their goals to increase pet adoptions, help make spay/neuter clinics more available and affordable, and create public awareness about overall caring for our pets. We want to make San Antonio a happy and safe place for both pets and people. -- Care. Adopt. Neuter.
