My original education was through the Aveda Institute Denver. After I was finished with my schooling, I started a year and a half apprenticeship at El Salon Denver. There I had continued education in Vidal Sassoon, as well as Bumble&Bumble; I also had the opportunity to work on numerous published photo shoots and runway shows. I am currently with Edo Salon where my education continues with trips to the Bumble University in New York. I specialize in cutting, razor cuts, men's cuts, color and up-dos.

Greetings, I'm Che'Fara Alexander CMT, NMT. As a student I became fascinated by the science of the mind, body and spirit. I have been a licensed massage therapist and health educator for 3 years. I graduated from the National Holistic Institute with 1300+ hours in 2013. My personal journey began after my beloved uncle got into a car accident in early February 2011 sustaining multiple fractures to the right side of his body. This sparked the idea... ”What better way to support his journey to recovery than become the family therapist?" During the program I had a lot of hands on training which gave me a greater understanding and appreciation for how much potential the human body has to aspire self- healing. My passion and strength are deeply rooted in supporting folks achieve individual transformation and maintain optimum vitality and well-being for the long term. My approach is often described as intuitive, attentive, and creates a deep sense of healing ability and relaxation to each session. I work closely with a variety of clients ranging from experiencing common everyday stress to chronic neck and lower back pain, sciatica and fibromyalgia. I love practicing Shiatsu, Acupressure and Neuromuscular Therapy because they have such profound healing effects on the mind and body directly, bringing a sense of relief, happiness, balance and stress reduction. Hummingbird Bodyworks is run by "Head Hummingbird," Helena Teply-Figman. I am a Certified Massage Practitioner bringing over two decades of training and experience around physicality to the work I am continuously developing. Over the years, I have studied several massage modalities (over 400hrs. of training mostly at the San Francisco School of Massage), Neuromuscular Training with Susan Hefner (NYC), Reiki, Yoga, Pilates, meditation and breathwork practices, and have worked with private clients in a myriad of energetic, kinesthetic, breath and bodywork modalities. As a dancer, I have studied at the José Limón Institute (NYC), Trisha Brown Studios (NYC), and P.A.R.T.S. (Brussels). I have worked with numerous independent choreographers and as an understudy/apprentice with the renowned Trisha Brown Dance Company. I have an intimate knowledge of what it is like to be The Client, having sought the care and guidance of numerous bodyworkers over the years to treat acute injuries, chronic pain patterns, and to provide general maintenance and relaxation; as well as to re-educate and strengthen my body so as to prevent future injuries, recover faster, and deepen my physical potential and endurance in the dance studio, on stage, and in daily life. Having worked for several years in non-profit dance administration, I have a personal knowledge of office life (and all the aches and stresses that can come with that). I also have over a decade of childcare experience.
