Community School has long set the standard for excellence among area elementary schools. Rigorous coursework and challenging academic standards are supported by personalized attention for each student. Students consistently score among the highest in the nation on achievement tests, and enroll in the most sought-after secondary schools. From their youngest learners at age 3, Community builds the academic and social skills students need to succeed. Unlike many traditional preschools, the 3- and 4-year olds at Community have the best of both worlds – a cozy, small-school environment in the inviting Early Childhood Building – combined with broad resources throughout the rest of the school, including specialist teachers in foreign language, art, music, woodshop, P.E. and drama. For the first time in 2012-2013, Community School will offer a ½-day option for 3-year-olds in the Nursery program. Half-day students will stay through lunch, after enjoying mornings full of play, exploration and learning. Full-day students will enjoy activity-packed afternoons, including special theme-based programming while paired with the 4-year-old Junior Kindergarten children. Community’s new ½-day option allows parents more flexibility in their choices, while continuing to provide students with the best available preschool education in the area. Community School invites you to find out more about its excellent programs and award-winning faculty. Visit www.communityschool.com or call Dana Saulsberry, Director of Admission at (314) 991-0005.
