Dr. Michael Gerdine, a native of St. Louis and graduate of Christian Brothers College High School earned his Bachelor of Science in Human Biology in 1997 and Doctor for Chiropractic Degree in 1999 from Logan College of Chiropractic. In June 2000, Dr. Gerdine established West End Chiropractic & Rehabilitation Center specializing in sports rehabilitation and acupuncture. Dr. Gerdine exudes passion and an exquisite strength of character in both his work and everyday life. He is a member of the American Chiropractic Association and a total care practitioner. His early years displayed notoriety in various accomplishments as he earned accolades in both high school and college. As an involved parent, Dr. Gerdine was an assistant coach at Christian Brothers College High School, training and treating athletes for four years. He displays a mind of determination and entrepreneurial spirit. Dr. Gerdine aspires to broaden the public’s knowledge of chiropractic care. The goal is to provide the very best care to all patients with a myriad of health issues. In order for this effort to be effective, there has to be a mutual understanding as to treatment protocol and a team effort of the physician and patient. All efforts will be taken to make sure everyone who visits West End Chiropractic is well educated on the benefits provided with chiropractic treatment.
Health and Dental Care For Kids is a nonprofit health care clinic providing pediatric medical care, urgent care and dental care for children ages 0 to 18. We accept private insurance, Missouri and Illinois medicaid and offer flexible payment plans for those without insurance.
The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Saint Louis University offers a undergraduate degree in communication sciences and disorders and a master's degree in speech-language pathology. Our department is known for its commitment to develop culturally competent clinicians fully engaged in evidence based practice to improve the communication quality of life of the clients and families they serve.
The Washington University Bariatric Surgery Program offers a full range of surgical options to those meeting the criteria for weight loss surgery: a body mass index (BMI) indicating morbid obesity, appropriate age, attempted weight loss and other factors as determined by the surgeon. The program, offered in conjunction with Barnes-Jewish Hospital, is designated as an American Society for Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery (ASMBS) Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence.
The goals of the Lupus Clinic at WashU are: 1) To provide outstanding interdisciplinary care for patients with lupus. Rheumatology, Renal, and Dermatology are involved to maximize positive outcomes for our patients. 2) To perform clinical trials with the latest potential treatment for lupus. 3) To conduct state-of-the-art lupus research. This is done in part through collection of biologic samples from patients with lupus for translational studies by investigators at WashU. On the third Thursday of every month, the Washington University Emergency Medicine attending physicians, faculty, residents, fellows, nurses and medical students meet at a local restaurant for journal club. During these three hour meetings the group, led by the Journal Club Director, critically analyze recent literature using Evidence Based Medicine principles: patient preferences, clinician expertise, and scientific findings each weighted equally.
